Today, we are going to configure an IPv4 address on your Windows VPS so you can connect to it using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
First, log in to your Virtualizor Control Panel and select your Windows VPS. Follow the steps below to access your server through the VNC Console, configure the IPv4 network settings, and test your RDP connection.
Step 1: Access Your Windows VPS
In the Virtualizor Control Panel, locate your Windows VPS under the “Virtual Servers” section. Click the Right Arrow button on the right side of your VPS entry to open the VPS management page.

Step 2: Open the VNC Console
On the VPS management page, locate the VNC icon under the VPS Information section. Click the VNC icon to open the VNC information window.

Step 3: Launch the VNC Client
After clicking the VNC icon, the VNC Information window will appear. Click “Launch HTML 5 VNC Client” to open the VNC console in a separate browser window. Wait for the console to load before proceeding to the next step.

Step 4: Log In to Your Windows VPS
Once the VNC console has loaded, click the “A” (Keyboard) icon on the left-hand toolbar. Then, click the four-square icon to open the keyboard shortcuts menu. Select “Send Ctrl + Alt + Del” to access the Windows login screen.
Enter the username and password provided for your Windows VPS to log in.

Step 5: Open Network Settings
At the bottom of the Windows desktop, locate the Network Settings icon on the taskbar. Right-click the icon to open the network options menu.

Step 6: Open Network and Sharing Center
From the menu, click “Open Network and Sharing Center” to access the network configuration settings.

Step 7: Open the Ethernet Connection
In the Network and Sharing Center window, locate the “Connections” section under “View your active networks.” Click the active Ethernet connection (e.g., “Ethernet 3”) to open the Ethernet Status window.

Step 8: Open Ethernet Properties
Once the Ethernet Status window appears, click “Properties” to open the Ethernet network configuration settings.

Step 9: Open IPv4 Properties
In the Ethernet Properties window, locate and select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” from the list. Then click “Properties” to open the IPv4 configuration settings.
Alternatively, you can double-click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” to open its properties directly.

Step 10: Configure the IPv4 Settings
Select “Use the following IP address” in the IPv4 Properties window. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway provided in your VPS setup email.
Next, select “Use the following DNS server addresses” and enter the DNS server details provided in your VPS setup email or VPS network configuration information.
Important: Carefully check all the entered network settings against the details provided in your VPS setup email before saving. These settings are different for each VPS. Do not use made-up IP addresses or copy network settings from another VPS. Entering an incorrect IP address, subnet mask, or default gateway may interrupt network connectivity and prevent you from connecting to your VPS through Remote Desktop (RDP).
Once you have verified the details, click “OK” to save the IPv4 settings, then click “OK” again to close the remaining properties window.
After saving your settings, Windows may display a network confirmation prompt. If prompted, review the message and select the appropriate option to proceed. This prompt may not appear on every VPS.

11. Connect to Your VPS Using Remote Desktop (RDP)
Open Remote Desktop Connection on your computer. In the Computer field, enter the public IP address of your VPS provided in your VPS setup email. Replace the placeholder IP address shown in the screenshot with your actual VPS IP address.
Click “Connect” and, when prompted, enter the username and password provided in your VPS setup email to log in to your VPS.
